The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five is preparing design plans to widen approximately 11.2 miles of State Road (SR) 40 from the end of the existing four lanes near Silver Springs to east of County Road (CR) 314A in Marion County, Florida. The design of the roadway is divided into two project segments. The first segment runs from the end of the existing four lanes near Silver Springs to just east of CR 314. The second segment begins just east of CR 314 and ends just east of CR 314A. Update – The project team is currently completing the Phase III plans. A public hearing was held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church.  Please click on the links below to view the public hearing presentation, displays, and documents.
